Invitations by Institution of Medicine (IOM) prevent violence was extended to Dr. K. Scott to co-lead the Youth Violence breakout session in Washington DC Dec. 2011.

Mrs. Marilyn Lee participated in the workshop bringing home ideas of incorporating the use of more social media into the child resiliency programme.

Objectives of the workshop:

To illustrate the myriad of ways that ICT (Information and Communication Technology) can be used to prevent violence, illustrated through a series of videos and presentations

To connect communication experts with violence prevention experts to brainstorm, innovate and share new and existing ideas/tactics to prevent violence
