The cohort of 60 referred children ages 10-11 yrs identified to be “at risk”; from Edward Seaga Primary (formerly Denham Town Primary), Trench Town Primary, Boys Town All Age, St Alban’s Primary, St Annie’s Primary were supported at Boys Town and another 25 children identified to be at risk supported at the Mountain View Primary and Infant School (MVPI). Literacy support, life skills training (including spiritual development) creative activities and sporting activities to reinforce life skills training and parent/family/training /counseling and home visits for the families of the children referred was provided. The children also received a daily nutritional meal. The programme has continued to thrive this term and culminated in Sports Day and Behaviour Prize giving medals awards held on March 18th-20th and field trips to Castleton Gardens on March 23rd for the winning behaviour house prize. The Boys Town and Mountain View Primary sites also continue to serve as community-based and in-school CRP models respectively for practicum learning assignments for university students.
